7 Day Forecast

Sunday 13th to Saturday 19th December.

Winter has arrived

A difficult week to call to give exact details as the models are struggling to agree, one thing they all agree on is that it will be cold for the first half of the week and then very cold for the second.

The first half of the week will be dry and bright, best of the sunshine in the west, some light showers in the east. Frosty in the west at night, generally cold with tempd 5-6c.

From Wednesday a front will move from the east to west bringing some rain, sleet or snow on hills. Behind this band the really cold air digs in as the easterly wind strenghens. Fpr the rest of the week and into the weekend snow showers will effect eastern areas, these will move into central areas come the weekend. Temperatures barely above freezing by day and some hard frosts at night particularly in the west.
